Northumberland covid statistics continue to show north-south split of cases in county

Figures show that Seghill with Seaton Delaval ward had 31 positive covid cases in the week up to October 26, the highest in Northumberland. Its infection rate has soared to 505.7 positive cases per 100,000.
Kitty Brewster ward in Blyth recorded 24 positive cases over the same period, followed by Seaton with Newbiggin West, Ashington Hirst and Bothal on 19.

Hide AdHolywell, near Seaton Delaval, recorded 18 positive cases, with 17 in Morpeth Kirkhill and Cowpen in Blyth and 16 in South Blyth and Prudhoe South.
In mid-Northumberland, Druridge Bay ward has had the highest number of cases with 15 over the period. Its infection rate is 229.9 per 100,000.
There were 10 positive cases in Alnwick in the week up to October 26. It has an infection rate of 100.9.
There were nine positives in Longhoughton (rate of 199.2), six in Amble West with Warkworth (148.7) and five each in Rothbury (101.6), Shilbottle (99.3) and Lynemouth (111.4).

Hide AdThe number of positive cases was between zero and four in Amble and Longhorsley.
In north Northumberland, eight positive cases were recorded in Berwick East (165.3).
Wooler, Bamburgh, Norham and Islandshire, Berwick North and Berwick West with Ord all recorded between zero and four positive cases.
The number of cases also remains low across large parts of west Northumberland.
