Action-packed fun at castle
Local amateur enthusiasts will display their sword fencing skills and invite onlookers to take part during the event on Saturday, August 20.
The 145th Warkworth Show in the castle grounds will be bristling with activities during the day, from circus skills and an army climbing tower to a dog agility session, children’s fancy dress and the ever-popular 2.5km fun run.

Hide AdThe programme of family entertainment also includes a fun dog show, terrier racing and scurry, Alnwick Playhouse band, a story-telling tent, classic cars display and Northumbrian pipers.
In addition there will be the traditional fruit, vegetable and floral events; art, photography and craft displays and the ever-popular baking and cooking competitions.
There are hundreds of classes in which people can enter, many of which are aimed at children.

Hide AdThe show opens to the public at 10am. It concludes with an auction at 4.50pm.
Admission is £6.50 for adults (concessions £5.50), children £3.50 (under-fives free), family ticket £16.50, English Heritage members free.
