Fire fighters remain at the scene of a large fire at multiple farm buildings in Hexham
At around 5.40pm on Wednesday, February 5, Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a fire in the Greenrigg and Spitalshield moor area of Hexham.
Two fire engines from Hexham attended along with crews from Allendale Fire Station, Prudhoe Fire Station, Haltwhistle Fire Station, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue, and Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue service.

Hide AdThey have worked together at the scene throughout the night to make the area safe.
A spokeswoman for Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service said: “The fire was in multiple farm buildings and was approximately 1000 sqm large.”
Thankfully, the fire service has confirmed that no people or livestock have been hurt.
At 8.45am on Thursday, February 6, crews remained at the scene of the incident.
