Kings for a day
St Michael's CofE First School in Alnwick was turned orange as pupils celebrated King's Day.
This is a festival from the Netherlands which celebrates the King’s birthday.
The day encouraged the children to learn about people from a different culture.
As well as dressing up, they ate a special orange lunch including carrots, swede and orange cake.
A table-top sale, organised and run by Year 4, raised £148 for school and the End Polio Now campaign.
