Large police presence at Amble harbour as search continues for missing elderly man, Albert Gray
Albert Gray, 87, was last seen by his family on Sunday, February 2 after leaving his home on Weetslade Court, Wideopen.
He is described as 5ft 10in, medium build with short grey hair and is thought to wearing a tweed flat-cap, black jacket and beige trousers and shoes.

Hide AdNobody has been able to contact him but police have since received information that a man, believed to be Albert, was spotted getting off a bus in Amble at around 1pm on Monday, February 3, walking towards the Marina.
On Tuesday. February 4, a Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone who has shared our appeal so far and those who have called in.”
Officers are also keen for members of the public to share their appeal and to get the message out there about Albert, in the hopes of finding him as soon as possible. A spokesperson added: “Hopefully we can reunite Albert with his family soon.”
Shortly before 1pm on Wednesday. February 5, a large amount of police vans and cars including marine and search units were spotted at Amble harbour. A spokesman for Northumbria Police confirmed that the increased police presence is in relation to their search.
