Chippy owners hit out at Alnwick fence 'monstrosity' as safety barrier installed
The safety barrier, along with a temporary dropped kerb, was put up by Northumberland County Council in Victoria Terrace in Alnwick.
The fence appeared earlier this week. It is understood the owner of the property is claiming ownership of the land as far as the fence.

Glen and Finlay Hindhaugh of the neighbouring Victoria House Fish & Chips were among those who took to social media, labelling the new fence a ‘monstrosity’.
“This isn’t our doing and hopefully it will be sorted out very soon,” they said.
They are asking customers to use the car park to the rear or park outside the gates, but to be more vigilant of passers-by.
